Try to forget what objects you have before you, a tree, a house, a field or whatever ... merely think here is a little square of blue, here an oblong of pink, here a streak of yellow, and paint it just as it looks to you, the exact color and shape..."

- Claude Monet

Drawing

DRAWING
Looking at a great painting it can be hard to remember that every artist was a  beginner at some stage. But it's true, no-one is born with a paint brush in their hand. This list of commonly asked questions will help you get started on your creative journey as an artist. Here are the basics that you have to know. One important factor that people do not understand is that drawing is different from painting. Thus, if you want to learn how to draw and paint, this means you have to develop two different skills. Drawing is generally defined as depicting a subject by the use of lines. On the other hand, painting is the art of coating surfaces with paint for artistic or utilitarian purposes.
Drawing Basics

For you to start having drawing skills, you should constantly practice your hands and eyes. Do this by sketching. Constantly sketching is the best way for you to learn how to draw more artistically.

Remember that drawing is developed by constant practice of your hands. This is not improved by merely reading or acquiring whatever book based knowledge that is available. Thus, practice your hand to draw. Be very observant with your surroundings. Try to sketch things or people during your idle time.
The trick is to draw what you see, not what you know.Copying is your stepping stone in drawing. Get a model and copy it. It is all right to make mistake. The key is repetition and learning from your mistakes.Date your work so you can see how much improvement you have made over a period of time. The self-satisfaction you get from that is your encouragement to continue. The more you practice the more progress you'll make.Give yourself the gift of pleasure that drawing brings.

Drawing supplies are also referred to as drawing materials. It's a mistake to buy too many drawing art supplies to begin with.
If you have too much to choose from, you won't know where to start and you might give up. Just choose a few necessary items and learn to use them well. To begin with, you only need paper (or a sketchbook), some pencils, an eraser and a sharpener.

Pencils

First of all pencils. The pigment could be colored, pastel, charcoal, or graphite. I will be talking about graphite in this case. Graphite pencils are available in many different grades ranging from 9B (softest) to 9H (hardest). Soft graphites have less clay in them and they are darker than H graphites. Hard graphites have more clay and are lighter than B graphites. Below is a chart illustrating the different grades of graphite.

Fixative
If you want to protect your drawing when it's done you will need to get some Fixative. Fixative is a spray coating that will protect and preserve your work.

Tips
Here is a list of drawing tips that I have assembled together. Some are things I learned myself and some are helpful tips that other artists have given me. I hope you learn something from these tips.

when working on a drawing, compare tones with other tones

never touch an area of the paper that will receive graphite. Your skin has oils in it that will show up after you touch the paper, much like dusting for fingerprints.

Remember to make smooth gradients when shading. In most cases, dark tones do not flow directly into lighter tones; there are a lot of midtones in between.

The whites of eyes are not white; they will always receive tone and will often have highlights.

Teeth are not white, they will always receive tone and will often have highlights

There should be very few, if any, hard lines on a portrait. Portraits are made with tone gradients, not lines.

Hair should not be drawn with lines but drawn with tones.

All highlights are not white,
Dark is not always black and light is not always white
First practice the shading and the start to practice the sketches of birds, animals, landscapes, objects, designs and portraits.Sketches of all these things are given in post.please go through it.

Thank you all
